Created and directed children's and family programs for 94 low-income and formerly homeless
families at Genesis Apartments, a national model housing complex located in Union Square,
Manhattan (NYC).

Responsibilities included: coordinating a lottery of 10,000 applications; identifying, interviewing
and screening tenants; designing on-site day care, after-school and adult tenant programs; developing
new fundraising sources and community programs for tenants and the surrounding neighborhood; producing
fundraising video for on-site school.

Created and managed recreational programs at five transitional housing facilities in the Bronx, Suffolk
and Westchester counties; served as family activities consultant to central office. Recruited and trained
recreation staff and volunteers; secured fifteen new corporate sponsors and $100,000 of in-kind donations;
edited and distributed facility newsletter; managed summer camp registration for 500 children; wrote
policy and procedures for agency's recreation program; chair of Recreation Directors' committee.

youth filming, writing and story boarding. This original program was the model for the current television
